RESIDENTIAL SERVICES
The prospect of building your own house is an exciting idea, but at the same time it can be daunting as well. All of us know stories of people starting to build their dream family home, but then, along the way, the whole process ends up being a nightmare. In most instances it will be one of the biggest investments a person will make in their lifetime. And most people don’t even know where to start. Where to get a reputable builder? How will payments to the builder work? What happens if something needs to be changed on the drawings? How do I ensure I actually get what I paid for? Etc.
We know the industry and can help you avoid common mistakes. We at Geometra QS are able to make sure the whole construction process is a pleasant experience and that your dream house becomes a reality.
Working closely together with your appointed architect and engineer, we will be able to provide the following on your project :
- Initial budget of the house.
- Provide tender documentation to ensure you get the most suitable main contractor for your project.
- Evaluate tenders and appoint the successful contractor.
- Provide and manage contract documentation.
- Procure and tender subcontractors.
- Do monthly payment valuations (this normally happens in conjunction with the financial institutions).
- Provide cost reporting on a regular basis to ensure that you are aware of actual costs vs the approved budget.
- Cost and report on design changes.
- Agree and sign final accounts with the main contractor and subcontractors.
- Ensure that your project remains within the budget

Our aim is to provide excellent service and when the project is completed, that all parties, client and contractor, are satisfied with the end result. Therefore our services are not for everyone. We cater for certain clients who choose to have a successful project and want to experience a smooth, satisfying construction process. In order for us to take you on as a client, the following minimum criteria should be in place :
- You should be in possesion of architect’s drawings that are at an advanced stage (not just a concept design)
- You should be able to start with construction within 6 months
- You have to appoint Geometra QS for the entire project (budget stage up until final account is signed)
